60th year anniversary
This year marks the 60th year anniversary founding of the BioQuipBugs collection, and we are excited to celebrate this momentous year with you! Originally the collection was started in 1964 by Terry and Diana Taylor as “Combined Scientific Supplies”. Over the decades the collection has grown to be a world-wide resource for museums, government agencies, universities, artists, pest control experts, collectors, Hollywood, researchers, retailers, students, and teachers. Thanks to those 60 years of growth, the BioQuipBugs collection now houses ~3,000,000 specimens across 12,000+ species from 125 countries.
To celebrate our 60th year anniversary, we want to open up a t-shirt design contest with BioQuipBugs gift cards as the prizes! The designs can be anything you want to enter (funny, classy, buggy, etc.) so please feel free to be creative. We are offering gift card prizes for everyone’s four favorite shirt designs, which we will then mass produce and offer at Bug Fairs and through the BioQuipBugs online store. So put your thinking caps on and have fun with it! You can find entry rules and the entry form here. The deadline to submit your design is April 1st, 2024. Winners will be announced in mid-April!
